Nomination Period

  • Spring Session: 30 September

  • Fall Semester : 30 April

Eligibility

  1. Must be an active student at the home institution (not on leave).

  2. Students must be officially nominated by their home university

  3. Final-semester students are not eligible.

  4. Exchange field should be related to the student’s major at the home university.

  5. Students from China must stay in Taiwan for the full exchange period.

  6. Late or incomplete applications are not accepted.

Course Registration

  • Up to 8 courses per semester; at least 2 within the enrolled department.

  • Registration occurs after FJCU students.

  • Instructor’s approval required for cross-program courses.

  • Attendance and examinations are mandatory.

Required Documents

  • Health Certificate and Medical Reports

  • Emergency Authorization Form

  • Proof of Insurance (at least 2 weeks before arrival)

Tuition Fees

No tuition fees for the Exchange Program if nominated by an exchange partner institution.

Academic Calendar

  • Spring Semester

    • Arrival and Check-in:10–13 February

    • Orientation: 14 February

    • Classes: 17 February - 7 June

    • Exams: 2 - 7 June

    • Move-out: by 22 June

  • Fall Semester

    • Arrival and Check-in: 2 - 3 September

    • Orientation: 4 September

    • Classes: 9 September - 28 December

    • Exams: 17 - 28 December

    • Move-out: by 12 January

Language Requirements

  • Courses in Chinese

    • TOCFL Level 3 or HSK Level 5 equivalent, or 480–960 hours of Mandarin study in Taiwan (960–1,920 hours elsewhere).

  • Courses in English

    • TOEIC 750 / TOEFL iBT 79 / IELTS 6.0 minimum.

    • Higher scores may be required for English-related programs.

    • Native speakers are exempt.

Visa and Entry Permit

  • One-semester students: Visitor Visa.

  • Two-semester students: Resident Visa + apply for ARC within 15 days of arrival.

  • Students from China, Hong Kong and Macao require an Entry Permit.

  • Students must not work or intern in Taiwan.

Estimated Cost per Semester

  • Books: approx. NT$6,000

  • Meals: NT$70–150 per meal

  • Transportation (MRT): NT$20–65 per trip

  • Campus dormitory: approx. NT$11,000 plus NT$2,000 deposit (per academic year)
