Insurance
With your CPR number, you’ll receive a Danish national health insurance card, giving you access to the Danish healthcare system. This covers free medical care and is required at all doctor, hospital, and pharmacy visits (including when collecting prescriptions).
Housing

IBA recommends applying through Kolding City Housing Administration. Rent for student housing starts from DKK 3,000–4,000 (≈ €400–500) for a studio apartment. In Denmark, rent is always paid one month in advance.
Tuition Fees
No tuition fees for the Exchange Program if nominated by an exchange partner institution.

Language Requirements
No official test is required, but students must have English proficiency at B2 level. This should be confirmed by a letter from the home institution.
Visa
Residence Permit (Non-EU Students)
To apply for a Danish residence permit, students must:

Be accepted by IBA

Pay the tuition fee for their study programme

Pay the Case Order ID fee (approx. 2,565 DKK, incl. Safeticket service fee)

Receive “Form ST1” issued by IBA

Submit Case Order ID and Form ST1 at the nearest Danish Embassy/Consulate to apply for a visa
Danish ID Number

All international students must register with the Danish Civil Registration System (CPR) to access healthcare, pay taxes, receive paychecks, and open a bank account.

IBA provides full guidance on how to register during Welcome Day and before arrival. It usually takes 2–3 weeks to obtain your CPR number.
Welcome on arrival– Buddy program
IBA buddies are student volunteers who help you settle in during your first weeks in Denmark. Before arrival, you’ll receive your buddy’s name and contact details. Your buddy will show you around campus and provide guidance on practical matters.
