No tuition fees for the Exchange Program if nominated by an exchange partner institution.

Application Procedure

  • Ask your home university coordinator to submit your online nomination via Mobility Online

  • After nomination, you’ll be invited to begin the application process (online only)

  • Upload your signed Learning Agreement (by you and your home university) before the application deadline

30 ECTS - 15 Credits Per Semester

Minimum Language Requirement

  • Most exchange programmes require CEFR level B2.

  • Some programmes may ask for proof of English proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS scores or a letter from your home university).

 

Housing Application Deadline

  • Apply as soon as housing opens.

  • Rooms are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Nearest Airport

​Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam) has a direct train to Utrecht Central Station (≈30 minutes).

15 June-Provisional entry visa and residence permit (MVV)

15 July-Temporary residence permit for study purposes

(VVR)


Spring semester:

1 December- Provisional entry visa (MVV) and residence

permit and/or temporary residence permit for study

purposes (VVR).


Estimated Monthly Cost of Living

  • Total: € 900 – 1100

  • Accommodation: €500 –1,050 per month, including utilities (water, heating, electricity)

  • Food: Lunch at the student restaurant costs about €500

  • Transport: Public transport is expensive, so most students use bicycles. A second-hand bike can be bought, or you can rent one for about €40 per month.
