Language Requirements
Providence University offers courses taught in English, Chinese, and a limited number in Japanese.
Students’ language proficiency must be assessed by their home university before the exchange.
English-taught courses: TOEFL ITP 500 preferred, but not mandatory if nominated and recommended by the partner university.
Chinese-taught courses: HSK 4–5 or equivalent proficiency required.
Chinese language courses: No proficiency proof required. PU offers nine levels, including beginner.

Insurance
From 2023 Spring, PU’s general health insurance is compulsory for international exchange students even if you had the travel insurance from home.
Please purchase PU’s general health insurance upon arrival at OIA.
*Fee: General insurance fee: NT$500/month.
One semester (5months): NT$5005months=NT$2,500
Restriction about the Student type
The number of exchange students each term is subject to agreement.
Participation in the orientation program is mandatory.
Students should arrive in Kaohsiung before the event and bring a copy of their health insurance receipt to obtain their student ID.
Course Enrollment
Course add/drop is done online one week before the semester begins through the Course Selection System.
Students can register for courses taught in Chinese, English, or other foreign languages.
