Tuition Fees

No tuition fees for the Exchange Program if nominated by an exchange partner institution.

 

Application Deadlines

  • Semester 1: 1 November

  • Semester 2: 1 April

 

Welcome Week (Mandatory)

  • Semester 1: Mid-February

  • Semester 2: Mid-July​

 

Lecture Periods

  • Semester 1: End of February – End of June

  • Semester 2: End of July – Mid-November

 

Nomination & Application

Exchange students must be nominated by their home institution and will receive an invitation to apply.

 

Entry Requirements

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4-point scale (or equivalent).

  • Completion of at least one year of full-time study at a recognized institution.

  • Nomination by home institution.

 

Required Documents

  • Passport (valid at least six months beyond study end date).

  • Academic transcript (in English).

  • Proof of English proficiency or recognized equivalent (waived if two years of prior English-medium study).

Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) required for the entire stay.

Submit eCoE to apply for your Australian student visa via your nearest Australian embassy or consulate.

  • QUT Accommodation Services can help locate purpose-built student residences.

  • Easy public transport to:

  • Gardens Point (Brisbane CBD)

  • Kelvin Grove (2 km north of city centre)

  • Living in Brisbane

 

Estimated Monthly Cost of Living

  • Total: AUD 2,000–2,500

  • Accommodation: AUD 180–400 per week

  • Transportation: AUD 40–50 per week

  • Food & Groceries: AUD 80–150 per week

  • Eating out: AUD 12–18 per meal

  • Entertainment & Miscellaneous: AUD 30–70 per week

  • Other costs: OSHC, phone/data plans, travel, social activities.
