Japanese Language Course
We offer four Japanese classes at two levels per semester— Grammar, Reading, Speaking, and Comprehensive Japanese—totaling 8 credits, free For more information, Click here.
Transcript Offered
A transcript will be provided to each home institution.
Language Requirement
Students with JLPT N2 or higher: Free to choose any subjects, except those restricted.
Students with JLPT N3 level (below N2): Take classes mainly in English or practical subjects (e.g., art, PE) in Japanese.
All students register for courses with their instructor. A minimum of 7 subjects must be taken, including Japanese language and other courses.
Scholarship for Exchange Students
Seisen Reisen-kai Scholarship
Offered to one student per partner institution upon recommendation.
Amount: ¥40,000 per month for 10 months (year exchange) or 5 months (semester exchange).
Not available to students receiving other scholarships of ¥80,000/month or more.
Nomination Procedure
Select one student and email a recommendation letter (PDF) explaining why the student is being nominated.
Recipients are expected to join Seisen’s international exchange events and help promote internationalization on campus.
Accommodation
Seisen University does not have official student dormitories. However, the International Center provides housing information and supports students in finding and arranging accommodation.

Academic Advisor & Buddy: Each student is paired with an academic advisor and a buddy for academic and daily support.
SEISEN AMIGAS: A volunteer student group that organizes cultural activities and helps international students make local friends.
Wellness Center: Provides medical consultations, mental health counseling, and general well-being support.
Career Support Center: Offers information on part-time jobs and guidance for students interested in career opportunities in Japan.
IT Center: Assists with Wi-Fi setup and use of campus systems.
Faciliites
Exchange students have full access to all campus facilities.
Seisen is a member of the Campus Members Program, granting students free admission to national museum exhibitions and discounts on special exhibitions.
Insurance
All international students are strongly advised to obtain overseas travel insurance before coming to Japan.
Students staying longer than 3 months must enroll in Japan’s National Health Insurance, which covers about 70% of medical expenses.

This service is only for students in Seisen-arranged housing.
Please ensure your flight allows you to arrive at the dorm by 5 pm for key collection.
