3 + 1 Dual Degree Bachelor Programs

• Media of Instruction: Chinese and English

• Program Pattern: Students are registered at both universities, study three years at AU, and complete their final year at XHU, earning degrees from both institutions.

1.5 + 1.5 Master's Degree Programs

• Program Pattern: Students enrolled will be registered by both universities. After finishing the first 1.5 years at AU, students transfer to the home campus of XHU for the next 1.5 years of study and will be granted graduation certificates and degrees from the two universities.

Application Deadlines

• Undergraduate students: Applications must be submitted before the end of the 4th semester.

Enrollment Requirements (AU Undergraduates)

• Passed all courses taken in Assumption University.

• Applicants with HSK level 4 certificate or have passed the Chinese proficiency test of the Campus can apply at any time before the end of the 4th semester.

• Applicants without basic knowledge of Chinese need to apply before the end of the 1st semester, take no less than 704 academic hours of Chinese courses at the Campus, and reach the HSK level 4 proficiency. If failed to pass the HSK level 4 test, applicants can still go to XHU to study with the consent of XHU but must reach the HSK level 5 proficiency before graduation.

Enrollment Requirements (AU Master’s Students)

• Passed all courses taken in Assumption University

• Applicants with HSK level 3 certificate or have passed the Chinese proficiency test of the Campus can apply at any time before the end of the 2nd semester.

• Applicants without basic knowledge of Chinese need to apply before the end of the 2nd semester, take no less than 400 academic hours of proficiency. If failed to pass the HSK level 3 test, applicants can still go to XHU to study with the consent of XHU but must reach the HSK level 4 proficiency before graduation.

Application Qualification

• Age between 18 and 45 (before the application deadline).

• Non-Chinese nationality

• Physical and mental health, meet the medical examination requirements for visa or residence permit in China

• Comply with the laws and regulations of China and Thailand and have no criminal record

• Respect Chinese customs and traditions, and be friendly to China

Supporting Documents

• Xihua University Application Form for International Students

• A copy of the highest academic degree certificate or proof of study at Assumption University

• Copy of transcript

• No criminal certificate issued by the local police

• Copy of passport

• Proof of funds (a bank deposit certificate of not less than 20,000 RMB or equivalent foreign currency)

• Applicants for undergraduate and master's degree must submit HSK certificate. Applicant will have to pass HSK level 4 for undergraduate and HSK level 5 for master's degree (if the relevant language certificate cannot be provided when submitting the application, applicants must complete the minimum Chinese language course hours required)

Application Procedure

• Applicants submit all supporting documents at the office of the Campus.

• XHU and AU review all applications.

• XHU issues the acceptance letters and JW202 forms.

• Registration as XHU students.

• Finish visa application.
