  • Fall Semester: End of June

  • Spring Semester: End of December

Courses

  • Most courses are taught in Korean, but a variety are offered in English.

  • The English course list is released 1–2 months before each semester and sent by email with registration instructions.

  • Exchange students may take up to 18 credits per semester.

  • A Korean Language Program is available at a 30% discount during the semester.

  • For certain majors (Architecture, Nursing, Early Childhood Education, Korean Language & Literature, Fisheries Education, etc.), advanced Korean proficiency (TOPIK 5–6) is required.

Grading Scale (4.5 GPA System)

A+       =       95–100       (4.5)
A0       =       90–94          (4.0)
B+       =       85–89          (3.5)
B0       =       80–84          (3.0)
C+       =      75–79           (2.5)
C0       =      70–74           (2.0)
D+       =      65–69           (1.5)
D0       =      60–64           (1.0)
F          =      0–59              (0)

Housing

  • All exchange students are automatically assigned a shared room in the on-campus dormitories.

  • Cost: approx. KRW 1,700,000 per semester (4 months) = 40,000–45,000 THB, including 3 meals per day at the cafeteria.

  • Students may choose to live off-campus if they prefer.

  • Payment: A bill is given at check-in. Payment must be made in KRW cash, so please prepare enough cash before arrival.

Estimated Monthly Living Costs

  • National Health Insurance: approx.  â‚© 80,000

  • Accommodation (3 meals included): â‚©1,700,000 per semester

  • Other Expenses    â‚© 100,000 – â‚© 200,000

Tuition Fees

No tuition fees for the Exchange Program if nominated by an exchange partner institution.

Application Deadline

  • Fall Semester: April 30

  • Spring Semester: October 31

Eligibility

  • Must be enrolled at a PKNU partner institution

  • Language proficiency: English (B2) or Korean

  • No official language certificate required

Required Documents:

  • Passport (valid at least six months beyond study end date).

  • Academic transcript (in English).

  • Proof of English proficiency or recognized equivalent (waived if two years of prior English-medium study).

Transcript

  • Fall Semester: Mid-January

  • Spring Semester: Mid-July

Courses Transfer

  • All courses are credit-bearing and recognized by most institutions.

  • Students must confirm credit transfer with their home university before the program.

  • Credit system: 3 credits = 45 contact hours, 2 credits = 30 contact hours.

National Health Insurance

  • All exchange students are automatically enrolled in the Korean National Health Insurance on the day of their alien registration after arrival.

  • Further details will be provided to accepted students.

I-Friend Program (Korean Buddy Program)

  • PKNU student buddy will help exchange students adjust to a new life at PKNU.

  • PKNU buddy will contact exchange students vie email prior to their arrival in Korea
