University Overview

Founded in 1958, TUST is one of China’s earliest four light industry universities, located by the Haihe River in Tianjin. As a multidisciplinary research‑oriented university with engineering as its core, TUST covers engineering, science, liberal arts, agriculture, medicine, economics, management, law, art and education. It is the only university in Tianjin Binhai New Area that provides a complete degree system from bachelor’s to doctoral programs.

Research and professional training in engineering, food science, bioengineering, materials science and management; available in Chinese and English.


Doctoral Degree Programs (4 - 5 years)

Cutting‑edge research in light industry, food, materials and bioengineering; several English‑taught programs available.

Tuition Fees

Covers tuition, accommodation, stipend and medical insurance.


2. International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship

For International Chinese Language Education and short‑term programs.
