A Longstanding Partnership Moves Forward: AU & UC Davis

The Office of International Affairs is pleased to share continued progress in Assumption University of Thailand’s collaboration with the University of California, Davis. On February 11, 2026, an AU delegation visited UC Davis to advance a partnership of more than 30 years through the Theophane Venard School of Food Biotechnology and Innovation.

Discussions with UC Davis Global Affairs centered on expanding student mobility through upcoming short-term and semester opportunities. The two institutions also explored future collaboration in research areas such as transportation and new energy vehicles, as well as joint academic projects through Thailand–China exchange initiatives.

We extend our sincere thanks to the team at UC Davis Global Affairs and the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences for such a warm welcome. Reconnecting with long-time colleagues and establishing these new ties made for a truly productive visit.
