🇯🇵 A New Journey: KGU Intensive Japanese Language & Culture Study Program 2026

Unlock your hidden power through language, culture, and real-world experience.



From July 14 – August 6, 2026, spend three unforgettable weeks at Kwansei Gakuin University in Nishinomiya. Earn 2 KGU credits, strengthen your Japanese through daily interaction, and build friendships with students from around the world.


This program is designed for students who want to grow in confidence, communicate naturally, and experience authentic campus life in Japan.



🔥 Academic Growth

Small classes of approximately 15 students per level ensure active participation every day.

  • Total Focus 45 total class hours 30 sessions, 90 minutes each

  • Deep Immersion Instruction conducted in Japanese to accelerate your progress

  • Continuous Support Regular feedback to help you improve with confidence



🤝 Nihongo Partners

Local KGU student volunteers join your classes and support your learning. Practice real conversations, learn everyday expressions, and gain insight into university life in Japan from a local perspective.



🌟 Choose Your Level

Beginner 

  • Can read Hiragana and Katakana 

  • Goal: Master greetings and daily survival communication

Elementary 

  • 150 to 300 hours of study 

  • Goal: Express ideas and describe daily life clearly

Intermediate 

  • 400+ hours of study, JLPT N4 level equivalent 

  • Goal: Discuss broader topics and give presentations



🌸 Cultural Experience

Your learning continues beyond the classroom:

• Kyoto field trip 

• Wadaiko drumming workshop 

• Yuzen-zome traditional dyeing 

• Homestay or dormitory living options

  • Program Fee Total cost: 265,000 JPY Assumption University students receive a 45,000 JPY tuition waiver Final amount to pay: 220,000 JPY

  • Eligibility Active Assumption University undergraduate students
