On June 9, 2025, Assumption University (AU) proudly welcomed representatives from Avila University, a vibrant, mission-driven institution from Kansas City, Missouri. This meaningful visit was filled with thoughtful exchange, inspiring ideas, and future possibilities.
The visit kicked off with a warm welcome from AU leaders, including:
Asst. Prof. Dr. Uree Cheasakul, Vice President for Academic Affairs
Dr. Chainarong Rungruengarporn, Dean, Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME)
Asst. Prof. Dr. Onouma Thummapol, Dean, Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science
The highlight of the day was a thought-provoking talk by Dr. Andy Jett, Avila's Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer. His session, “Leadership in a World of Change,” encouraged students to lead with integrity, adapt confidently, and communicate openly in a changing world. With nearly 30 years of experience, he shared personal insights on how strong values can guide leadership through uncertainty.
The day ended with a friendly campus tour, where the delegation enjoyed AU’s flight simulator, chapel, and iconic architecture.
This visit reflected a shared belief in building global partnerships rooted in innovation and purpose. We were honored to host Avila University—and we look forward to growing this meaningful connection.
