The Expanded Summer School 2025 is an exclusive opportunity for AU students to level up their game development skills while diving into the world of digital art and innovation in Austria. From hands-on workshops to one of Europe’s most exciting tech-art festivals, this program blends learning, creativity, and cultural discovery into one incredible experience.
Hosted by the School of Informatics, Communications, and Media, this one-week summer school blends hands-on workshops, creative exchange, and one-of-a-kind experiences at two iconic Austrian cities: Hagenberg and Linz.
What makes it special?
This program runs alongside the Expanded Conference and the world-famous Ars Electronica Festival, a global stage for future-driven technology, media, and art.
👩🎓 Who Should Apply?
This program is made for advanced Bachelor’s or Master’s students who already have experience in game design and development.
If you’ve worked on your own game project before — even better! You’ll get to playtest each other’s games, share ideas, and give/receive feedback in a creative, international environment.
