AU Study Abroad is super excited to share that nominations for the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) Exchange Program 2026 are now open. Located in the vibrant heart of Hong Kong, HKBU combines world-class academics with cultural immersion, giving AU students a chance to live, learn, and connect in one of Asia’s most dynamic cities.

Nomination Deadline: 1 October 2025 (Spring Semester)
Academic Calendar:
Fall Semester: Early September – Late December
Spring Semester: Early January – Late May
🎓 What Makes HKBU Special?
All Courses Open to You
HKBU now welcomes exchange students to choose from all six Faculties and Schools, regardless of major. Whether you are drawn to Business, Arts, Science, or Communication, you can explore freely as long as you meet prerequisites.
Extended Experience in Zhuhai
From AY2024/25, HKBU offers something unique: “1 Programme, 2 Experiences.” Semester exchange students can join a free 3-day immersive tour at the Zhuhai Campus, exploring a new city while staying connected to the HKBU community.
Language Opportunities
Visiting students can enroll in credit-bearing Mandarin and Cantonese courses, perfect for those who want to pick up new language skills while studying abroad.
Buddies Scheme
You will be matched with HKBU student buddies who help you settle in, introduce you to Hong Kong life, and share their culture. It is not just support, but also a chance to build friendships that last beyond the semester.
Study Load
12–18 credits per semester (approx. 4–6 courses)
💰 Living in Hong Kong
Administrative Fee: HK$1,800 (includes visa)
Monthly living costs (estimate): HK$11,500–13,100
Housing: HK$3,200–4,800
Meals: HK$5,000
Transportation and other expenses: HK$3,300
