Romania Government Scholarships 2026 for Non-EU Citizens

Assumption University is excited to share that the Romanian Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, has launched its Annual Scholarship Programme for Foreign Citizens (Non-EU) for the 2026–2027 academic year.

This fully funded scholarship offers AU students and graduates the opportunity to pursue a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Romania.

• Full tuition fee exemption

• Funded Romanian language preparatory year (if required)

• Monthly allowance

• Accommodation support (subject to availability)

• Registration fee exemption

📌 Eligibility

• Non-EU citizen

• Minimum academic average of 7/10 (or equivalent “Good”)

• Complete online application submission

⚠️ Not available for Medicine, Dental Medicine, or Pharmacy.

Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes are conducted in Romanian (with preparatory year provided). PhD programmes may be offered in Romanian or another approved language.

🗓 Key Dates

• Application Deadline: 23 March 2026

• Results: Around 15 July 2026
