Strengthening Industry Links with Tai Thai Rubber

The morning of 21 November 2025 brought a meaningful visit to Assumption University as representatives from Tai Thai Rubber Co., Ltd. and Professor Christine Schrage from the University of Northern Iowa explored how AU connects theory with hands on learning.

Their stop at the Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science and Technology offered a close look at the Aircraft Maintenance facilities. Dr. Rapee Ujjin and Dr. Ravivat Rugsaj shared how students work directly with real equipment to build practical skills.

The visit also included discussions on future activities within the AU–UNI partnership. OIA helped facilitate these conversations, including preliminary planning for a short program in Thailand next year, which could feature a visit to Tai Thai Rubber as part of the learning experience for UNI students. The visit ended with an easy and friendly conversation, and both sides expressed interest in moving forward together.
