University of Fukui at AU: Two Weeks of Cultural Exchange and Lasting Memories

From August 16–29, 2025, AU’s Theodore Maria School of Arts hosted Professor Koji Kobata and students from the University of Fukui, Japan, for a two-week cultural immersion exchange.

Students discovered Thai traditions through lectures, dance, and cooking workshops, while also sharing their own culture by teaching Japanese at local schools. Field trips to Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, and Ayutthaya, along with warm AU homestays, created unforgettable memories and friendships.

This meaningful exchange strengthened ties between our universities and left everyone looking forward to future connections.
