Study in Japan for a Semester — Kansai Gaidai University Exchange

Students can now apply for the Kansai Gaidai University Exchange Program in Japan, where selected participants study one semester with tuition fees waived through the Asian Studies Program.

Kansai Gaidai hosts around 1,000 international students from about 35 countries each year, creating a diverse and globally connected campus environment.


Academic Highlights

Students can:

  • Choose from 60+ courses taught in English

  • Study business, social sciences, and international studies

  • Take Japanese language courses (Level 1–8)


Location

The university is located in Hirakata City, between Osaka and Kyoto, giving students easy access to both modern city life and historic cultural sites.


Cultural Programs

Students may join activities such as:

  • Nihongo Friends Program – language exchange with Japanese students

  • Home Visit Program – visit local Japanese families

  • Spring Semester internships


Semester Periods

  • Fall: September – December

  • Spring: January – May
